World-class athletics – in a total of eleven disciplines. That is what INDOOR MEETING fans have to look forward to at the start of the international indoor athletics series World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold on 27 January 2023 in Karlsruhe. With the announcement of the tour disciplines by the World Athletics Federation, the disciplines for the INIT INDOOR MEETING Karlsruhe have now also been decided. At the end of January, the top stars from the athletics scene will compete in a total of eleven disciplines in Karlsruhe, in eight of which points are at stake for the overall victory and thus a 20,000 US dollar victory bonus as well as a wildcard for the European Indoor Athletics Championships, which will take place in Birmingham, UK, in 2024.
Women:
60 metres, 800 metres, 3.000 metres, Triple Jump, Shot Put (Part of the World Indoor Tour)
Long Jump (outside the tour competition)
Men:
400 Metres, 1.500 metres, 60 metres Hurdles (Part of the World Indoor Tour)
3.000 metres, Pole Vault (both outside the tour competition)
