World Indoor Tour Gold: What you need to know...

In addition to the INIT INDOOR MEETING Karlsruhe on 7 February, the athletes will be competing for points for overall victory in the World Indoor Tour Gold at eight other venues. The three best results of each athlete will count towards the overall points total. The athletes with the most points in each discipline will receive a prize of USD 10,000 and a wild card for the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China, which will take place from 21 to 23 March.

How many points does an athlete receive for placing at a meeting?

1st place: 10 points
2nd place: 7 points
3rd place: 5 points
4th place: 3 points

The following disciplines will take place this year as part of the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold:

Women:
60 meters, 800 meters, 3,000/5,000 meters, Pole vault, Triple jump, Shot put

Men:
400 meters, 1,500 meters/mile, 60 meters hurdles, High jump, Long jump
