World-class athletics guaranteed: With the confirmation of three top long jumpers, Malaika Mihambo, Larissa Iapichino and Hilary Kpatcha, 3,750 athletics fans can look forward to the best that women's long jump currently has to offer on 8 February 2026 in Karlsruhe's Europahalle, which is already completely sold out.

Many will still have fond memories of the last meeting and Malaika Mihambo's ‘masterpiece’, because with her jump of 7.07 metres, Mihambo not only raised her personal best indoors, she also equalled Heike Drechsler's 30-year-old meeting record, setting a new benchmark and winning the women's long jump at the INIT INDOOR MEETING Karlsruhe for the second time after 2018.

In addition to Mihambo, two other top jumpers, Larissa Iapichino and Hilary Kpatcha, have confirmed their participation in the INIT INDOOR MEETING Karlsruhe. Larissa Iapichino has also already cleared the seven-metre mark. Her best jump of 7.06 metres dates back to May 2025 in Palermo. The Italian's best indoor performance to date is 6.97 metres. The magical seven-metre mark is also in the record books for French athlete Hilary Kpatcha. In Kalamata, Greece, in May 2025, the 27-year-old improved her personal best to 7.02 metres, surpassing the seven-metre mark for the first time.
