Starting field for the INIT INDOOR MEETING Karlsruhe 2025 complete!

3.5 hours of world-class athletics with a strong field of starters

A total of 110 athletes will be competing on 7 February 2025 when the event returns to the tradition-steeped Europahalle. Among others, Olympic shot put champion Yemisi Ogunleye can look forward to competing against Chase Jackson (2022 and 2023 world champion), Sarah Mitton (2024 World Indoor Championship gold medallist), Jessica Schilder (2024 European champion) and Jorinde van Klinken (2024 European silver medallist). Olympic silver medallist Malaika Mihambo and local hero Mikaelle Assani will compete in the long jump. While Gina Lückenkemper, Alexandra Burghardt and Lisa Mayer (all Olympic bronze medallists in the 4 x 100-metre relay) will be competing in the 60 metres, the two Germans Tim Eikermann and Manuel Mordi will be up against strong international competition, namely Wilhem Belocian (European Indoor Championship gold medallist in 2021), Asíer Martinez (European champion in 2022) and Milan Trajkovic (European Indoor Championship gold medallist in 2019). In addition to the German representative Anjuli Knäsche (German indoor champion 2024), the women's pole vault will also feature the reigning European champion Angelica Moser, Alysha Newman (bronze at the 2024 Olympics), Molly Caudery (gold at the 2024 World Indoor Championships) and Tina Šutej (bronze at the 2022 European Championships).
