Pure athletics: Two weeks of a full athletics programme in the Europahalle in Karlsruhe

In the run-up to the INIT INDOOR MEETING Karlsruhe on 7 February 2025, Karlsruhe will be all about athletics, as the INIT INDOOR MEETING Karlsruhe is embedded in a two-week supporting programme.

On 28 and 29 January 2025, the focus will be on pupils from the region. For the 36th time, around 1,000 pupils from a total of 41 secondary schools will be competing in the short and middle distance running, long jump and high jump disciplines at the Sparkasse Karlsruhe Youth Foundation's school athletics championships. The Stadtwerke Karlsruhe Youth Indoor Meeting organised by LG Region Karlsruhe will follow the next day. The fact that the fastest runners will also be able to compete in interlude races on 7 February in front of a sold-out Europahalle should be motivation enough. In addition, the Southern German Championships for active/U18 runners will take place on 1 and 2 February and the BW Masters Championships (seniors) on 9 February.
