Four finalists from the Paris Olympic Games: The women's pole vault is a high-flying event

Angelica Moser from Switzerland will also be at the start. The European champion from Rome 2024 and European indoor champion 2021 only just missed out on the podium and a medal at the Olympic Games last August with a jump of 4.80 metres in fourth place. Angelica Moser will be joined  the INIT INDOOR MEETING Karlsruhe 2025 by Italy's Elisa Molinarolo - sixth at the Olympics with a leap of 4.70 metres - another finalist from Paris. In addition, there is the Slovenian Tina Sutej, who set a highlight with 4.71 metres at the first edition of "Karlsruhe jumps" on Karlsruhe's market square in 2021, but did not make it past 4.40 metres in the final at the Olympics. As did Anjuli Knäsche, the three-time German outdoor champion and two-time German indoor champion. She also did not make it past 4.40 metres in the final in Paris. However, her best indoor performance, which currently stands at 4.55 metres, shows that she is capable of this height. Jaqueline Otchere from MTG Mannheim, another German pole vaulter who also has a best of 4.55 metres, will be a guest in the Europahalle. Incidentally, the last women's pole vault event at the INIT INDOOR MEETING Karlsruhe in 2019 saw a first: Alysha Newman from Canada, Anzhelika Sidorova from Russia and Katerina Stefanidi from Greece tied for first place with a height and attempt of 4.71 metres.
